About This Grant

NAIDOC Week grants provide funding for events and activities that celebrate and promote National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week. Grants support community events, cultural activities, art exhibitions, school programmes, and other celebrations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and achievements.

Grants are typically awarded in the lead-up to NAIDOC Week (first week of July) and are managed through the NIAA.

Eligibility

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, schools, local government, community groups, and other organisations planning NAIDOC Week activities. Events must celebrate and promote First Nations culture.

How to Apply

Event plan, budget, and description of how the event will celebrate NAIDOC Week themes.

Barayamal Tip

NAIDOC grants are competitive but the application is straightforward. Apply early, align your event with the annual NAIDOC theme, and show how your event will engage the local community. Even small events can get funded.
