About This Grant
The Rural Financial Counselling Service Program (the Program) provides free and independent financial counselling to eligible farmers, fishers, foresters and small-related enterprises who are experiencing, or at risk of, financial hardship. The Program is delivered across 12 pre-defined services regions covering the whole of Australia. The objective of the program is to support structural adjustment through transitioning clients out of immediate financial crisis or concerns, assessing business viability to make informed decisions about the future of the business and improving financial wellbeing and resilience through building clients’ financial knowledge and skills, and by referring clients to other professional services.
Eligibility
Legal entity with an ABN who are one of the following: registered Indigenous Corporation; incorporated Company or Association; Cooperative; Unincorporated Association; Trustee on behalf of a Trust; Partnership. There are 12 predefined service regions. Applicants may apply for more than one service region, including service regions in different states.
Legal requirements: Tax Concession Charity (TCC), Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1), Public Benevolent Institution, Social enterprise, Aboriginal Community-Controlled, Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust), For-profit, ACNC Registered Charity
