About This Grant

The project supports initiatives that provide sustainable, tangible and long-term benefits with positive outcomes for Australian rural, regional and remote communities. In turn this builds capacity, longevity, liveability and connection in the regions in which Elders operate. Each application must align to at least one of the following pillars: Regional Skills and Workforce Development; Environmental consciousness; Innovation and Education; Healthy bodies and healthy minds; Encouraging and celebrating diversity; Safety First; People’s Choice.

Eligibility

Not-for-profit organisation with an ABN or Incorporation Certificate; unincorporated organisations may be auspiced by an incorporated organisation; Government preschools, kindergartens and schools; applicants should not be affiliated with a political party or union, or take an overtly political stance in the focus of their work; may have a religious basis, but any program or initiative must not incorporate religious teaching into the delivery of the program or initiative; applicants should declare if they are seeking funding for the same initiative elsewhere. Must have a revenue below $1 million in the financial year.

Legal requirements: Tax Concession Charity (TCC), Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1), Aboriginal Community-Controlled, Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust), ACNC Registered Charity, Public Benevolent Institution, Religious charity, Unincorporated, auspiced, School, P&C Assn or P&F Assn

Exclusions

Applications that do not align with Elders' brand and values; individuals; activities against the law, hazardous or dangerous; projects which already have significant competitors or brand saturation; on-going financial support or investment; are the responsibility of the Federal, State or local council governments; promoted by political or religious organisations (except for schools) or are religious or political in nature; do not have a high level of community support or need; have its functions or goals primarily aimed at the promotion or sponsorship of a sporting activity; fund of community services such as fire brigade, ambulance or flying doctor; donations to other charities, foundations or general appeals and lotteries; Individuals.
