About This Grant

Sonic Healthcare has established a new charitable foundation with an initial contribution of $40 million, in an effort to further cement it’s global commitment to the community. The Foundation provides funding for medically-based community projects and aid for disasters. These projects aim to provide healthcare solutions for community groups in need, with a general aim of helping to develop self-sustainability in the medium- to long-term. The primary focus is on helping to establish self-sustaining laboratory medicine, radiology and other clinical services for communities in dire need.

Eligibility

In addition to financial support, involvement also extends to funding the training of local staff in modern medical methods and techniques, so they can provide the vital laboratory, pathology, radiology and other medical services that underscore modern medicine. This assistance also includes other aid projects, supporting schools, orphanages and refugee programs, through the provision of funds, materials, education and training of the community.

Legal requirements: Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1)
