CGU believe they have important responsibilities to enable their communities and people to be safer, stronger and more confident. Their community efforts focus on areas and organisations that help communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters. The IAG Foundation’s Local Chapter initiative encourages their people to support a charitable organisation deal with a specific social issue in their local area. The Foundation’s budget is committed to these activities and it does not run a general grants program.

The Foundation has existing charity partners to which it directs support, and with which it aims to have long-term partnerships.
