We provide first aid coverage, training and products from footy level trained first responders

Deadly Sports Plus (DS+) is the only First Nations owned and run first aid organisation providing event coverage and training in Australia. We are based in Mont Albert, Victoria, but this does not restrict where we cover. We regularly travel to Australian Capital Territory (ACT), New South Wales (NSW), and Queensland (QLD) to provide first aid coverage and training services. We often work have a focus on working with grassroot sports that have First Nations participation or high LGBTIQA* participation. Our staff are proudly from a First Nations or an LGBTIQA* background and specialise in working at sporting events. Our goal is to manage injuries with a focus on getting the player back on the field without causing any further injury.

DS+ was created by Nic Radoll, proudly queer and from Anaiwan people of Glen Innes, NSW. After suffering several sporting injuries while playing quidditch and roller derby in 2017, Nic decided to attend a Level 1 Sports Trainer course through Sports Medicine Australia. From there, they fell in love with sports first aid, and they have expanded their skill set as a Level 2 Sports Trainer, registered therapeutic massage therapist, and qualified trainer/assessor. They have worked with Sports Medicine Australia since 2017, Phoenix First Aid since 2018, and as a sports trainer for the Victorian Football League (VFL) Umpires for the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

“Deadly Sports Plus have been a fantastic partner for our organisation, and have consistently gone above and beyond our expectations. As a sports organisation, the health and safety of our players and community members is of the utmost importance, and the team at Deadly Sports Plus have consistently impressed us with their expertise, as well as their dedication and care. They’ve gone above and beyond our expectations with how proactively they identify and address problems, such as driving changes in our organisation’s health and safety policies, engaging with our community to develop and run a series of concussion workshops, and providing particular snacks during tournaments, so as to treat fatigue before it leads to injury.”
