About This Grant

Alcoa is passionate about partnering with the communities where they operate to help address local needs and aspirations. Every year, they invest millions of dollars in financial and in-kind support in a wide variety of environmental, educational, health, safety and community capacity and resilience building initiatives. Priority areas: sustainable environment; community health & safety; community capacity & resilience; tomorrow’s workforce & leaders. Local sponsorship is available in areas in which they operate. National and state sponsorships also available.

Eligibility

They are proud to work alongside reputable non-profit and community organisations from large-scale projects through to grass roots ones. Projects with staff volunteering or in-kind support elements are preferred.

Legal requirements: Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust), Aboriginal Community-Controlled, P&C Assn or P&F Assn, Registered Training Organisation (RTO), School

Exclusions

Individuals; travel expenses; political or sectarian events or organisations; commercial activity; prize money for professional sport; gambling; religious programs or organisations whose services are limited to its members; trips, conferences, seminars, festivals, one-day events, unless they are a part of an approved program activity; endowment funds, capital campaigns, or funds directed towards deficit reduction or operating reserves; fundraising events or sponsorships; documentaries or videos.
