About This Grant

The Foundation works in four areas. Domestic Development – to promote great opportunities to assist those in need within the community. International Development – to assist remote and disadvantaged communities in impoverished South East Asian and South Pacific countries to alleviate poverty through the creation of sustainable financial cooperatives. Emergency / Disaster Relief – to provide a mechanism for members of cooperatives and mutuals, and the general public, to make donations to assist those affected by natural disasters (either domestic or international). Development Education (DE) – to promote the cooperative ideal, continued involvement in the DE program provides DEs with an excellent opportunity for career development and personal enrichment.

Eligibility

The domestic activities are intended to support children and youth who are at risk of abuse or neglect, or who are disadvantaged in terms of housing, medical care or education. The AMF plans to conduct these activities in partnership with other Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI). After considering a number of worthwhile projects the AMF has agreed to partner with Barnardos Australia for the next three years. A Natural Disaster Fund was set up in 2023 to support future natural disaster in Australia and around the world.
