To provide assistance to those proposing projects that align with Our Country Our Future five broad focus areas: Conservation/Healthy Country; Urban Investment; Tourism; Niche Indigenous Products; Agribusiness. The program may provide support through: brokering and developing partnerships; facilitating and coordinating support; providing funding assistance.

For projects that involve acquisition of land and/or water related interests, applicant must be an incorporated entity (or in the process of becoming incorporated) and be Indigenous controlled. For projects that involve management of land and/or water related interests, applicant must be one of the following: Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander holder of land or a water-related right; an incorporated entity; an organisation interested in investing in Indigenous-held land or waters; have the support of the Indigenous land/water holders.

Legal requirements: Aboriginal Community-Controlled

Activities that do not align with its statutory purposes, or do not generate any benefits for Indigenous people; activities that are the responsibility of another agency; ongoing service delivery/program costs; ongoing operational costs; administration/sitting fees; livestock.
