About This Grant

IBA provides tailored business loans and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs and businesses. Products include business loans (up to $1M+), performance bonds, business coaching, and financial literacy training.

IBA also offers home loans and investment products, but the business loan stream is the most relevant for grants directory purposes. Loans are offered at concessional rates and can cover start-up costs, equipment, working capital, and business expansion.

Eligibility

Must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and be accepted as such by the community. Must have a viable business plan or existing business.

How to Apply

Business plan, financial projections, evidence of Aboriginality, personal identification, and details of any existing debts.

Barayamal Tip

IBA offers free business coaching and yarning sessions before you apply. Use their Many Rivers partnership network to get your business plan reviewed. Even if you do not get a loan immediately, the coaching pathway can strengthen your next application.
