About This Grant

Funding will be provided to organisations for activities that best contribute to delivery of the following Program outcomes: a professional, viable and ethical Indigenous visual arts industry that features strong participation and provides economic opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; the continued production, exhibition, critique, purchase and collection of Indigenous visual art.

Eligibility

Organisations must be one of the following entity types: a registered Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation; a company incorporated in Australia; an incorporated association; a not-for-profit organisation; a publicly funded research organisation; an Australian local government body; a state, territory or local government body. Grant activities are expected to be based in Australia.

Legal requirements: Tax Concession Charity (TCC), Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1), Public Benevolent Institution, Social enterprise, Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Academic institution, Aboriginal Community-Controlled, Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust), School, Local government, Government body, For-profit, ACNC Registered Charity

Exclusions

Individual or sole trader; unincorporated association; overseas resident/organisation; organisation that is at risk of insolvency. Activities that involve working primarily with children (under 18 year old); major construction/capital works, landscape design or architectural work; activities primarily focussed on community development or cultural maintenance, or art restoration; retrospective costs or activities; primary responsibility of other Commonwealth, state or territory government programs.
