About This Grant

Oak Foundation commits its resources to address issues of global, social, and environmental concern, particularly those that have a major impact on the lives of the disadvantaged. Through grant-making, they support others to make the world a safer, fairer, and more sustainable place to live. With offices in Europe, India, and North America, they make grants to organisations in approximately 40 countries worldwide. Programs: Environment; Housing and Homelessness; International Human Rights; Issues Affecting Women; Learning Differences; Prevent Child Sexual Abuse.

Eligibility

Most grants are awarded to organisations invited to apply by programme staff, although unsolicited requests are accepted. Preference given to programs that: target root causes of problems; are replicable either within a sector or across geographical locations; include plans for long-term sustainability; have secured co-funding; strive to collaborate with like-minded organisations; value the participation of people (including children) and communities.

Legal requirements: ACNC Registered Charity, Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1), Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust), Tax Concession Charity (TCC), Charitable trust, Incorporated society/group, Not for profit, Registered Charity, Academic institution, Academic institution

Exclusions

Individuals; scholarships or tuition assistance for undergraduate or postgraduate studies; religious organisations for religious purposes; election campaigns; general fund-raising drives; except in special circumstances, no funding for initiatives under US$25,000.
