About This Grant

To deliver transformative investment in regional, rural and remote Australia unifying regional places, growing their economies and serving their communities, by bringing together governments and communities to deliver regional precincts tailored to local needs. The program intends to contribute towards: Closing the Gap, transition to a net zero economy, social and affordable housing, and National Cultural Policy. The objective of stream two is to work with partners to support the delivery of multi-purpose precinct projects that will provide targeted benefits related to productivity, equity, and resilience for regional, rural and remote areas across Australia, comprised of multiple infrastructure components.

Eligibility

You have an ABN or Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Organisations (ORIC) registration and are one of the following: Australian State/Territory Government agency or body; Australian local government agency or body; regional university, which may be for-profit; incorporated not-for-profit organisation.

Legal requirements: Academic institution, Aboriginal Community-Controlled, Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust), Local government

Exclusions

For-profit organisations (except regional universities); organisations included on the National Redress Scheme's list of Institutions that have not joined or signified their intent to join the Scheme; an employer of 100 or more employees that has not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act. Ineligible locations: Greater Sydney; Greater Melbourne; Greater Perth; Greater Adelaide; Greater Brisbane; Greater Darwin; Greater Hobart; the ACT.
