About This Grant

Health Grants will support eligible organisations in their endeavour to protect and restore Koala habitats. The objective of the program is to: support efforts to improve the trajectory of the koala by addressing koala health challenges and improving health outcomes. The intended outcomes of the program are to: improve capacity and professional capability in koala and other wildlife treatment, triage, and rehabilitation; improve knowledge and management of koala populations and health across their range; improve understanding and management of key koala diseases and hazards.

Eligibility

An entity incorporated in Australia; an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth); a co-operative; a Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM); organisation supporting a project that is delivered by, or directly engages with, local community groups; an incorporated not for profit organisation, including incorporated First Nation not-for-profit organisations; an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust; an Australian local government agency or body as defined in the guidelines.

Legal requirements: Tax Concession Charity (TCC), Social enterprise, Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Academic institution, Aboriginal Community-Controlled, Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust), Local government, For-profit, Individual, ACNC Registered Charity, Unincorporated group

Exclusions

The provision of goods, services or support for activities not directly related to eligible grant activities; costs for monitoring or modelling activities that are not part of an eligible project; costs involved in the purchase or upgrade/hire of software and ICT hardware; insurance costs; costs for activities that are required to be carried out by law or by a private contractual obligation; financial costs, including interest and debt financing; depreciation of plant and equipment beyond the life of the project; the covering of retrospective costs.
