About This Grant

To meet the unique healing needs and aspirations of Stolen Generations survivors, with a focus on healing and commemorative activities. Intended for activities like: healing activities (healing camps and gatherings, trauma-informed programs); activities to support redress; community memorials; cocumenting survivors’ individual or group stories; commemorative activities (events including the anniversary of the National Apology to Aboriginal Australians, and National Sorry Day)?.

Eligibility

Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) that meets the following criteria: incorporated; operates on a not-for-profit basis; controlled and governed by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples; your project serves communities with a direct focus on the healing of Stolen Generations survivors and their descendants.

Legal requirements: Aboriginal Community-Controlled

Exclusions

Sole traders, non-Indigenous organisations, and local Councils (except for Aboriginal-led councils like Indigenous Shire Councils).
