About This Grant

For grassroots organisations that aim to support people who are facing barriers or experiencing isolation and/or exclusion in Victoria and NSW. Seeks to bring different voices and perspectives together in the areas of employment and education, gender equity, cultural cohesion, inclusion and diversity, including women and girls, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, older adults and refugee and migrant communities. Social issue areas supported include: homelessness; living with disability; mental health, education and employment pathways; crime reduction, youth recidivism; social and economic inclusion; social justice and wellbeing.

Eligibility

Grassroots non-profit organisations supporting people in NSW or VIC. Grassroots organisations that would be defined as small to medium-sized with an average income of $1,000,000 pa or less over the last three years. Discretion up to $1.5M turnover.

Legal requirements: Public Benevolent Institution, Social enterprise, Aboriginal Community-Controlled, Nonprofit legal entity (inc. assn, company, coop. or trust)

Exclusions

Advocacy campaigns, religious or political campaigns, crisis appeals, overseas aid, health research or applications from individuals; initiatives that are primarily focused on the environment or animal welfare, except where there is a direct social outcome relating to our core social issue areas.
