About This Grant

Two separate funding programs. Medical research: small number of medical research grants and fellowships to NHMRC Approved Administering Institutions. Charitable Institutions: Aged care – services that assist the elderly, including medical equipment, furniture and fixtures, transportation of the elderly and general support of the elderly; Disadvantaged groups or organisations – services that directly support children, adolescents, adults and families who are disadvantaged due to education, financial, and/or social circumstances; Community health – services that directly support groups or organisations assisting individuals or families with a medical condition, disability, addiction and/or mental illness; Creative arts – innovative, educational or creative arts organisations involving disadvantaged adults or youth.

Eligibility

Organisations are endorsed as: a Tax Concession Charity (TCC); and a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). The Trust also requires that the organisation is a registered Charity with the ACNC (exceptions — Hospitals).

Exclusions

Organisations: with an operating deficit; that are directly managed by Governments; political organisations; Government and non-Government schools. Will not provide funding for the following: general and administrative costs; conferences or staff training programs; general public fundraising appeals; overseas projects; major building appeals; retrospective funding.

How to Apply

By Invitation / relationship. Organisations selected to apply for a grant will be notified by mail by 31 March of each calendar year. No other applications received during the year will be considered. Applicants are provided with at least six weeks to prepare and submit their application. Details at: http://flacktrust.org/grants/
