About This Grant

Offers grants for projects bringing road safety, financial inclusion, the environment or STEM benefits to the communities in Greater Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane near Transurban’s roads. First Nations – as part of their commitment to reconciliation, at least one grant in each eligible state will be awarded to a First Nations organisation or initiative. People’s choice – all of their community also has the chance to vote for grant recipients, with a People’s Choice grant awarded to two organisations or initiatives in each eligible state.

Eligibility

Your organisation must be a ACNC registered charity to be eligible for a grant Your initiative must be located in a local council area with a Transurban road. Victoria: City of Boroondara; City of Melbourne; City of Port Phillip; City of Stonnington; Hobsons Bay City Council; Maribyrnong City Council; Merri-bek City Council; Moonee Valley City Council; Yarra City Council. Queensland: Brisbane City Council; Ipswich City Council; Logan City Council. New South Wales: Bayside Council; Blacktown City Council; Burwood Council; Campbelltown City Council; City of Canada Bay Council; City of Canterbury-Bankstown; City of Parramatta; City of Ryde; City of Sydney; Cumberland City Council; Fairfield City Council; Georges River Council; Hornsby Shire Council; Inner West Council; Ku-ring-gai Council; Lane Cove Council; Liverpool City Council; North Sydney Council; Penrith City Council; Randwick City Council; Strathfield Council; The Hills Shire Council; Willoughby City Council; Woollahra Municipal?Council.

Exclusions

For-profit organisations; government departments (except schools) or political groups; labour, trade or business organisations; social clubs; overtly religious groups (except initiatives that support a non-religious purpose); fundraising events such as raffles, telethons, walk-a-thons or auctions; chairs, endowments or scholarships sponsored by academic or non-profit institutions; special events such as conferences, symposia or sports; competitions; organisations that support or participate in activities inconsistent with Transurban's Diversity Policy; cover ongoing administrative costs; projects or events that have already occurred.
