IndigiMemes is a side project that features videos and memes that use humour as a way to raise awareness of First Nations rights issues.

We have an opportunity to raise awareness of First Nations issues in a way that uses humour to connect with the public. This ensures that our rights are taken seriously, but not in a way that would put people off.

It is a great alternative to the boring and often burdensome ways that Indigenous issues are conveyed through mainstream media channels, which often present news about political debates and court challenges as if they were purely sports. IndigiMemes is accessible, funny and “cool”.
