Ideation

Develop creativity by identifying potential problems and effectively communicate ideas and solutions by pitching to other members (optional pitch).

What is a startup?

Discover what a startup is and how to start your own “startup” (process and   examples e.g. The Lean Startup Methology).

Start your own Startup

Using the tools and skills from Day 1 – participants have the opportunity to develop and validate their own business idea.

How to Pitch Workshop

30 min workshop on how to Pitch to investors and what to include in the pitch deck.

Linda Ryle

Linda is an Aboriginal woman of Birrigubba – (Bowen Qld) and Kamilaroi (Monaro NSW) heritage; mother to one son, and makes her home on traditional Jinibara (Sunshine Coast Hinterland). Linda has been both personally and professionally involved in the area of Indigenous Affairs. Linda is the Executive Director of CALM – Cultural Advocacy and Legal Mediation an Intersectional Cultural Change Agency assisting professional, corporate and the community entities in their cultural engagement and inclusion.

Dean Foley

Dean served five years in the Royal Australian Air Force before founding Australia’s Indigenous business accelerator, Barayamal – now known as a world leader in Indigenous Entrepreneurship. Dean is an action-oriented entrepreneur, former Microsoft RAP Advisory Board Member, CSIRO STEM Award Winner, Indigenous Digital Excellence (IDX) Entrepreneurship Award Winner, and proud Kamilaroi Man from Gunnedah, NSW.

Nicole Petrilli

Manager at KPMG Indigenous Services
Nicole is a Manager at KPMG Indigenous Services, which aims to improve Indigenous social and economic development through connecting Indigenous businesses with the corporate and public-sector in Australia. Nicole is a results-driven professional with world-class communication skills that she is using to make a real difference in Indigenous communities.
