Barayamal-sponsored online club

Toastmasters First Nations

A new online Toastmasters club for First Nations leadership, storytelling, confidence, and public speaking. Dean and Barayamal will sponsor the first founding members so the club can reach the 20-member charter requirement.

What founding members get

  • Initial charter membership sponsored by Dean and Barayamal for approved founding members.
  • A supportive online space to practise speaking, leadership, facilitation, storytelling, pitching, and meeting roles.
  • A chance to shape the club culture, meeting rhythm, and founding officer team from the beginning.

Charter target

  • 20 charter members are needed to start the club.
  • At least 17 should be new, reinstating, or transfer members rather than existing dual Toastmasters members.
  • The officer slate needs a President, one Vice President, and a Secretary or Secretary/Treasurer held by three different people.

Good fit if you want to

  • Practise speaking in a culturally safer, online environment.
  • Build confidence for business, community, advocacy, study, media, or leadership roles.
  • Help shape a founding club culture that values First Nations leadership and respectful participation.

How the founder pathway works

The goal is to make the first step easy, then confirm the formal Toastmasters paperwork once there are enough committed founders to charter properly.

1. Submit interest

Share your contact details, membership type, officer interest, meeting availability, and consent checks.

2. Join the demo

Meet the launch team, see a short Toastmasters-style session, and ask practical questions before committing.

3. Confirm paperwork

Approved founders will be guided through any official application details needed for the charter package.

4. Charter together

Once the member, officer, sponsorship, and worksheet gates are ready, the club package can be submitted.

Sponsorship clarity

Dean and Barayamal intend to sponsor initial charter membership costs for approved founding members so cost is not the first barrier to starting.

What it does not cover

Future renewals, optional extras, and any separate personal costs are not automatically covered. The launch team will confirm details before anything is submitted.

10-day charter sprint

Days 1-2

Confirm District 90 support, set the demo date, and invite the first 30 warm prospects.

Days 3-6

Run the online demo, answer questions, confirm founding-member interest, and identify officer candidates.

Days 7-10

Collect applications, confirm sponsorship/payment status, prepare the charter worksheet, and submit the package.

Founding member signup

This signup takes about 5-7 minutes and captures the member-registration details needed to prepare the Toastmasters charter membership worksheet and official follow-up application, plus launch availability and consent checks. This intake is not the official Toastmasters membership application or payment form. Please do not enter credit card details; sponsorship and payments are handled separately by the launch team.

Thank you for your response. ✨

Before final submission

The launch team will download fresh official Toastmasters forms immediately before filing, reconcile founding-member and officer details, and submit only once the member, paperwork, officer, and sponsorship/payment gates are ready.
