Projects

Projects

Barayamal’s projects are grouped under our impact strategy so the work is easier to understand, support and measure. Each project helps strengthen First Nations entrepreneurship through one or more pathways: building capability, shifting markets, influencing policy, and changing culture or behaviour.

Projects mapped to impact

Barayamal’s work is more than a list of programs. The project portfolio is organised around the change we want to see: stronger First Nations capability, fairer markets, better policy, and everyday behaviour that backs real economic self-determination.

Strategic, not scatteredProjects are grouped by the role they play in Barayamal’s broader impact strategy.
Practical and measurableEach project points toward real tools, platforms, research, events or campaigns people can use.
Community-led developmentThe focus is First Nations entrepreneurship on First Nations terms.

Impact pathway

The portfolio moves through four connected channels for change. Some projects sit across more than one channel, but each is listed where it makes the strongest contribution.

01Capacity BuildingBuild the skills, networks, confidence and operating capacity of First Nations founders and communities.
02Market TransformationsCreate tools and platforms that shift attention, jobs, procurement, visibility and capital toward First Nations-led outcomes.
03Policy ChangeUse research, scorecards and public accountability to challenge systems that hold First Nations entrepreneurship back.
04Culture and Behaviour ChangeInform, educate and inspire people to back real action instead of symbolic support.
