Is it really free?
Yes. Every edition is free to read and there is no paywall halfway through.
Do I need a Substack account?
No. Enter your email address and each edition arrives in your inbox.
What happens to my email address?
It goes to Substack — which hosts and delivers the Briefing — and is used to send you each edition. It may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States. Read Barayamal’s privacy notice or Substack’s policy (opens in a new tab). You can unsubscribe from any edition.

Dean Foley, a Kamilaroi man from Gunnedah in New South Wales who founded Barayamal, the First Nations entrepreneurship organisation. Meet the team.
How are the opportunities checked?
Each one is confirmed against its official source before it goes in — who it is for, the benefit, the deadline and whether it is still open. The official link is published beside it so you can check it yourself.
What if you get something wrong?
Tell us. Email d.foley@barayamal.com with the edition title and the passage concerned. Material corrections are made in the online edition and noted, not quietly deleted.
