Accessibility at Barayamal
Barayamal wants its websites, programs and information to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disability and people using assistive technology.

Our accessibility target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably possible. This is a target and an ongoing program of work, not a claim that every page or third-party service currently conforms.
What we are improving
- Logical page headings and meaningful link text
- Keyboard access, visible focus and larger touch targets
- Colour contrast and text readability
- Labels, instructions and error messages for forms
- Alternative text and captions where media conveys information
Known limitations
Some interactive maps, embedded videos, third-party forms and older archive pages may be harder to use with a keyboard or screen reader. We are reviewing these in priority order. Third-party services may also have accessibility limitations outside Barayamal’s direct control.
Get help or request another format
If content is difficult to access, use the contact form. Include the page address, what you were trying to do, the barrier you encountered, and the format or assistance that would help. Do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary.
Barayamal will review the request and explain what assistance or alternative format can be provided.
