Barayamal checks official agency websites and prioritises bodies whose mandate directly concerns Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Broader agencies are included where they are likely to hold First Nations-related information.
The last complete source check covered all 38 sources — 22 Australian Government FOI and 16 NSW GIPA — for the 7 September 2026 cycle. AIATSIS, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and Indigenous Business Australia were reconfirmed after their browser security checks cleared on 7 September 2026. Inclusion reflects an agency’s mandate or likelihood of holding relevant records; it does not mean every entry in that agency’s disclosure log concerns First Nations people.
Coverage limits
- FOI and GIPA disclosure logs are not complete registers of every request, refusal or released document.
- NSW agencies generally list only formal-release information they consider may interest other people.
