About this opportunity

Support for conservation work on privately owned State Registered heritage places. Eligible major projects can attract a higher contribution where they reactivate a place, reduce disaster risk or develop heritage craft skills. Funding is generally matched equally by the owner.

Who can apply

Private owners of State Registered places with building insurance and normally at least three years of ownership. Exceptions include recent Native Title/ILUA transfers; major-project criteria apply.

Funding and conditions

Standard works can receive up to AUD $50,000; qualifying major conservation projects up to $100,000. The usual match is 50:50. Heritage-professional costs may use an 80:20 ratio within the cap; in-kind contributions are excluded.
