About this opportunity

  • Eligible Australian not-for-profits with an energy-consumer advocacy role, and research organisations with a public purpose, can submit an EOI for Influence or Collaboration funding for the April 2027 round.
  • The EOI closes at 6 pm AEDT on 4 November 2026.
  • Full applications follow only after selection.
  • Projects should address systemic energy-consumer issues through advocacy, research or collaboration.
  • Eligible routes cover not-for-profits authorised to advocate for household or small-business energy consumers, and research organisations with a public purpose.
  • First Nations advocacy organisations may qualify.
  • The public source does not establish a single individual award cap for these two streams.
  • Project geography: benefits must relate to National Electricity Market consumers in the ACT, NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania or Victoria. This is the project’s benefit area; an eligible Australian organisation may be based elsewhere.
  • Work focused solely on WA or NT consumers is outside this NEM scope.
